By documenting these techniques, fluid resin microinfiltrations appeared to be the rescue solution for injuries when primary prophylaxis procedures failed. In this paper we have chosen a representative case by point of view of severity of the lesion and we have tried to apply a border model between the primary prophylaxis protocol and secondary prophylaxis and to verify in practice the feasibility of these protocols in the dental office. To increase diagnostic accuracy, the patient received a professional hygiene session, including professional dental brushing and scrubbing. The visual diagnosis of dental lesions followed. The identified caries lesions were classified in the ICDAS and SiSta classifications for the evaluation of histological correspondence and the application of the optimal therapeutic technique. The selected case was treated with fluid-flow infiltration, as well as a personalized prophylaxis plan for carious disease based on the identified risk factors and the classification in the carious risk group.
